Gordon Parker

Gordon Parker moved to Fernandina Beach Florida in 2021 and to Jacksonville, Florida in 2019 from Lakewood, Illinois. He is working to widen his artistic audience and strengthen his artistic voice in the Jacksonville community. Gordon will tell you “I have been an artist all of my life” with early memories of winning childhood art competitions. He earned his degree in Fine Arts from Elgin Community College, where he was featured as the Solo Artist at their Max Vonisser Gallery of Art. After a successful career as a commercial artist, in 2017 he decided to create beautiful and emotionally charged art for the public to embrace.

Since 2022, his work has been accepted in several group and solo art exhibits. He has been a featured artist at WaterStreet Studio, Norris Cultural Art Center Regional Exhibition and was multiple ribbon winner at Starline Gallery.

" Art is the transference of dreams into reality."

Gordon has developed his own visual voice and recognizable style. His art themes focus on the figurative complexity and emotions of women. He then transforms these complexities into a more simplistic vision. His art process is the deconstruction of realism into stark dramatic shapes. Working in any medium, his work brings an amazing mastery of color theory and the remarkable strength of expression which creates a compelling perspective. Accompanied with the use bold colors he accentuates experiences and moods that resonate in all of us.
